TEAM RACELINE PIRELLI SUZUKI’S NEW RECRUIT IN PROMISING U19s DEBUT

Team Raceline Pirelli Suzuki’s Errol Willis showed promising form in his debut race in Round 6 of the MX Nationals.

Filling in for the injured multiple race winner Hamish Dobbyn, Willis rode strongly to record a seventh overall result, moving him up to 12th position in the Pirelli Under 19s Championship. It was an impressive debut ride considering that the young talent only had a few days to prepare before this round and he had never ridden a Suzuki RM-Z250 before.

“The fuel injected Suzuki RM-Z250 is amazing to race; it has a lot of power with great handling. I know that I can keep improving and for the remainder of the series, work on finishing well. I just need to get fitter and keep working hard” said Willis.

Pro Lites rider Kieran Tisdale however, had a challenging day on the track after crashing in two of the three motos but is looking forward to improving his form for the remainder of the series.

JOHN TISDALE – TEAM OWNER, RACELINE PIRELLI SUZUKI
“Hamish Dobbyn has succumbed to a knee injury and is unfortunately not able to complete the series this year but this opened a great opportunity for Errol Willis. We watch the progress of all riders in the under 19s and Pro Lites classes so Errol’s natural talent has been apparent to us from the first round.

“We were delighted when he was able to step in at the last minute to fill in for Hamish and what a great move that has turned out to be. Errol in partnership with the fuel injected RM-Z250 stunned everybody with three hole shots in his first outing. We are confident that he will move into the championship top ten.”

CHRIS WOODS – TEAM MANAGER, RACELINE PIRELLI SUZUKI
“Errol really impressed us this weekend. After joining the team this week we only had a few days to test before racing in Wodonga and Errol has come away with his best ever result in the Under 19s championship.

“Errol has found it very easy to adapt to the fuel injected Suzuki RM-Z250. He has really seized this opportunity with both hands and has come away with the holeshot in every moto! He also managed to maintain the lead for part of every race.

“We are encouraged with the result and look forward to him spending more time on the bike prior to round seven.”

Team Raceline Pirelli Suzuki turns its attention to round seven at Moree, New South Wales on Sunday 18th July 2010.
