Motul, partner of the Tourist Trophy: here comes the passion!

7th May 2010

Motul is proud to announce its new official partnership with one of the most prestigious, demanding and famous road races in the world, the Isle of Man TT, which takes place on the 29th May to the 11th June 2010.

For this year’s event the specialist motorcycle lubricants manufacturer, which is a known cultivator of passion, performance and innovation for over 150 years, will become involved with one of the most magical two-wheeled races on the planet. The historic Isle of Man TT, which has been running for over a century, is renowned for bringing together pure amateurs and legendary racers since its inception in 1907.

Motul’s success on the track with over 40 World Championship titles to its name is synonymous with that of the highly popular Isle of Man TT race, which means it is a natural progression for the lubricant innovators to become involved. Motul is renowned for its high quality products and is looking forward to its association with such a highly sought after event, especially with the extension of its ‘Factory Line’ range of products.

The Isle of man TT brings together passion, hunger and enthusiasm from racers and spectators alike in a two-week long festival of high-octane entertainment for the 40,000 visitors that venture to the Island year-upon-year. The famous mountain course requires the ultimate performance from machine and rider, as they negotiate the 37.73-mile circuit made up of public roads with absolute precision at speeds of up-to 200mph. It’s certainly an exclusive spectacle with the combination of some of the world’s finest machinery being put to the test at one of the most demanding events on the road race calendar.

This year Motul also supports the Relentless Suzuki Team run by the ultra-experienced TAS Racing squad. The team will field Cameron Donald and Bruce Anstey, both of which are some of the few racers that can boast the 130mph lap achievement around the famous course. Motul also will support 2009 Supersport rookie, Rico Penzkofer, who will contest the Superbike classes aboard a factory-supported BMW this season.
