Defending dual Australian Off Road Champion Toby Price has scored a dominant clean-sweep during rounds three and four of the 2011 title chase at Hedley in Victoria on 28-29 May.

The talented Motorex KTM Off Road Racing team standout won both the Outright and E2 categories on both Saturday and Sunday aboard a 2012-spec KTM 350 EXC-F.

Saturday’s Cross Country round saw Price take his second win in a row after a hard-fought race that lasted just under three hours, before he backed that up with a third round win in succession on Sunday during the shorter Sprint round.

Price’s results boost him up to second in the Outright title chase, just seven points out of the lead, despite a DNF in round one, also sitting 14 points out of first in the E2 class.

“We had a big break following round one, but from the weekend’s results we are right back in it and that’s good to see,” Price said.

“Hopefully we can keep the KTM up front from now on, keep chipping away at those points and hopefully get back into the lead. It’s nice to get back racing again and hopefully we can keep that confidence high and keep moving forward.”

All-round off-road ace Ben Grabham is tied for first in the E1 class on the KTM 250 EXC-F, winning the class on Saturday and taking a solid fifth Outright, before he claimed second in the E2 class and 12th Outright on Sunday.

Riding the powerhouse KTM 300 EXC two-stroke, Jarrod Bewley raced to the E3 class victory on Saturday in fourth Outright, wrapping up his weekend with second in the E3 class on Sunday and seventh Outright to stretch his series lead to 28 points in E3.

“It was a really good weekend, especially Saturday when all three boys won their classes after a really good performance by all of them,” team manager Brad Williscroft explained.

“On Sunday Toby was able to win again while both Ben and Jarrod finished second in their classes, but they rode really well. All in all the championships are looking good in all three classes and we’re really satisfied.”

The team will now turn its attention to the Finke Desert Race on 11-13 June, before the AORC series will continue for rounds five and six at Dungog in New South Wales on 18-19 June.
