MX1

Motul Pirelli Suzuki rider Cody Cooper took out pole on Saturday, with a fastest time of 1.48.647, but it was Brad Anderson (Carlton Dry Honda Racing) who took the first 15 minute moto win on Sunday, using Scorpion MX Mid Soft 32 80/100-21 and 120/80-19 rear. A resurgent Todd Waters (Motul Pirelli Suzuki) took the Moto 2 win for Pirelli in the second of the back to back 15 minute moto's ahead of Anderson. In the final 30 minute moto, fastest qualifier Cooper took the holeshot and ran away for the moto 3 win, ahead of Josh Coppins and Brad Anderson. But it was a consistent Brad Anderson (Carlton Dry Honda Racing) who took the round win, and closed the gap from Josh Coppins in 1st place in the championship to just 20 points. Todd Waters (Motul Pirelli Suzuki) finished 2nd for the round, ahead of Lawson Bopping (Yamaha) 3rd.

Pirelli riders finished 1-2 in the overall results, winning all 3 MX1 moto's at this round.

MX2

Wonthaggi showed just how hotly contested the racing in the MX2 class has become this year. Kirk Gibbs (Serco Metal Mulisha Yamaha) qualified fastest on Saturday with 1.49.8 around the well prepared Wonthaggi layout. Come race day and MX2 Moto 1 saw a return to form for Josh Cachia (JDR KTM), taking out the Moto 1 win on Pirelli Scorpion MX Mid Soft 32 front 90/100-21 and the new 110/85-19 rear size, ahead of Ford Dale (Carlton Dry Honda Racing) and red plate holder Luke Styke (Serco Metal Mulisha Yamaha). Moto 2 saw Styke take the Moto win, ahead of Dale and Errol Willis (Raceline Pirelli Suzuki) in 3rd. The final, longer 30 minute moto of the day saw Ford Dale build on his earlier results to take the Moto 3 win, ahead of privateer Pirelli riders Adam Monea (Zero Seven Motorsports) in 2nd and Cheyne Boyd (DPH Motorsports Honda) in 3rd place.

Dale took out the MX2 overall round win, with Luke Styke 2nd and Josh Cachia 3rd. Pirelli rider finished 1-2-3 in the results, taking all 3 MX2 moto wins.
