New MX eXTra X: FOR ALL ROUND AND SEMI-PRO RIDING - You Deserve Something eXTra

The new Pirelli Scorpion MX eXTra X is now available to Australian riders. This new tyre gives riders the optimum mix of performance and durability. Its new aggressive tread pattern gives race like performance in all types of terrain (from mid-soft to mid-hard), while a new dedicated compound means the new Extra X last around 20% longer than the tyre it replaces, the MX Extra.

The new tread pattern of the MX eXTra X is an evolution of its predecessor, the Scorpion MX eXTra, making improvements on the rear design and adopting the front tread of the MX Soft 410. The introduction of connecting bridges between the rear tread knobs increases resistance to knob tearing and also improves durability compared to the previous MX eXTra.

The front tyre's arrow-shaped knob layout and aligned corona side knobs provide directionality when accelerating and stability in the straights, while accompanying V-shaped knobs improve braking stability and cornering grip. The Rear tyre's updated pattern uses even, widely spaced knobs for both traction and adaptability to a variety of terrain applications.

Due to the MX eXTra X's wide range of application in terms of track conditions, a dedicated compound has been formulated to provide extended durability, uniform and regular wear, and a consistent overall race like performance in all terrains.
